Transfer Your Number to Sprint

With Local Number Portability, you can now switch to Sprint and bring your current phone number with you. Imagine the benefits. Keep your number so you, and those who call you, won't have to memorize a new one.

How do you transfer a number to Sprint?

Do not cancel service with your current provider. Service will be automatically cancelled when your number is transferred to us.

Give us your phone number when you place the order and we'll get it transferred. Should your number not be available for bringing to Sprint, we'll let you know that, too.

To help the transfer process go smoothly, provide a copy of an invoice from your current service provider by faxing it to us.

While determining whether your phone number can be transferred is an important step in the process, there may be additional restrictions from your former service provider that may prevent a successful transfer. Local Number Portabiilty may not be available in all markets or from all telecommunications providers. Other limitations may apply. Early termination fees from your former carrier may apply. You'll be able to dial 911 throughout the transfer process, but the 911 dispatcher won't be able to call you back on your new PCS Phone. Just stay on the line until the dispatcher advises you to hang up.
